news from Moyale, Western Gharri region, Two Gharri citizens were
ambushed by an unknown gang at Mata Arba water dam Northwest of La hey.
The two victims were a male and a female has been reported that they are
in a serious condition and are not expected to survive. The Gharri
people and administration are finger pointing to the Borana Oromo
people, because, the Borana citizens have been making noise about the
ownership of the Mata Arba water dam and allegedly caused prior
disturbances. Representatives of the Oromo and Somali region along with
representatives from the federal government have rushed over there to
determine who is behind this current incident and to prevent further
escalation or retaliation.
