Eleven innocent Gharri civilians have been victimized to please the Murrale relatives of last week’s deceased person.

According to eyewitness accounts, the eleven victims have not been accused of committing any crimes but, they were accused of been related to or acquainted with the persons of interest. 

The unknown gunmen killed one Murale man last week. However, the area’s chief accused three individuals without having any physical evidence or witnesses, simply because the three men allegedly reported to him that they were abused and robbed by the Murale gunmen.  “So, it must be them,” he said. Our reporter said that, the killing of an innocent person is a tragedy and the perpetrators must be brought to justice, however the victimizing of an innocent person or persons is equally wrong and barbaric. In this case rounding up and arresting the children and their mother does not heal the deceased person’s relatives, nor does it put closure to the case. It agonizes everyone, therefore, it is wrong.

The Wargadud Chief Adaw A. Addi was not only accused of turning in the names of innocent people to the authorities for political gain, but has been accused of being behind the arresting of the 5 children, their mother, uncle and four others. 

The children range from 2 to 9 years old and they have not committed any crimes. It is not the first time that Chief Adaw Adi has been involved in naming innocent people as criminals. He did this before, last year, in which he beat up three pregnant women and two of them ended up immediately having their babies, in which one survived and the other one died. But, he has not been charged for his rimes. Again, this is nothing more than a witch-hunt and a politically motivated crime against the innocent children and their mother. Therefore, it must be stopped and those victims must be released without delay.
