Breaking News From
Moyale, Western Gharri Region,
Southern Ethiopia November
25, 2009 |
The
Moyale District Gharri elders and Liban Zone
administrators have held a very contentious
meeting on November 23, 2009. At this meeting,
the Gharri elders tabled several topics of their
concern.
-
1.
lack of access
to communication devices including
confiscated radios
-
2.
administrators
inability to enforce and follow up past
agreements
-
3.
lack of roads
between cities and villages and blamed the
zonal and regional administrators for lack
of peace and tranquility in their districts
According to several
meeting participants that we spoke with, even
though they reached some agreements, it is
believed to be nothing more than
tendentious agreements
that come about by
intimidation and arm twisting. Therefore, there
are unsolved issues lingering to be carryout to
the upcoming federal and regional election
campaign if not solved prior to March 2010.
It has been reported that large numbers of O.L.
F. rebels are crossing into Ethiopian via the
Godoma border crossing between the Ethiopian
and Kenya border.
Also, we have received disturbing news from
Moyale that two known mischievous criminals have
smuggled Amhara gold miners into
Alloo Hulluqo
location without the local indigenous Gharri
people's knowledge and proper permits. Upon
arrivals the Amhara began using highly toxic and
internationally prohibited "worst source of
mercury air pollutant in the world" However,
these two criminal and their Amhara missionaries
have concealed this toxic chemical and its
affect on both human and the environments from
the indigenous people.
ACCORDING UNITED NATION, ZERO MERCURY WORKING
GROUP AND SCIENTIFIC STUDIES FINDINGS,
"The
mercury ravages the nervous system of people
exposed to it and their families. Mercury's
impact is evident in mining regions like Central
Kalimantan, on the island of Borneo. Acres of
tropical forest are now virtual desert.
Mercury and its compounds are
highly
toxic substances for humans. They are
poisonous to the nervous system. There is some
evidence at present that methylmercury can cause
cancer in humans, and its
Exposure during pregnancy is of most
concern, because it may
harm the
development of the unborn baby’s brain.
Some studies suggest that small increases in
exposure may affect the
heart and circulatory system." But, these
two self-centered morons and their AMHARA
Masters are not telling you about these.
Because, they don't care about you and your
families."
Where do they going to Dispose this poisonous
chemical?
Sadly, they already have not only caused damages
to the Alloo Hulluqo community, but they
have also, created tensions between the Gharri
people. So, we will let you know as the latest
information as it becomes available to us.
